The Wells Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports fundamental societal change through innovative and entreprenurial action. We offer funding for change agents who combine a vision of social transformation with creative and practical solutions. These agents identify inefficiencies, solve problems, and persuade societies to see things in new ways. Where others see social problems, they see opportunities and a call for action.
While retaining a historical connection and strong affiliation with St. Mark’s Cathedral in Minneapolis, Wells Foundation is a separate philanthropic organization. Our Board of Directors actively collaborates to adapt the Foundation's mission to current social issues and trends.
In the recent past, Wells Foundation has funded various community groups and projects including Heading Home Hennepin, Loring Nicollet-Bethlehem Community Centers, Neighborhood Involvement Program (NIP), Project for Pride in Living (PPL), Simpson Housing Services, The Phoenix Project, and St. Stephen's of Minneapolis. We are currently funding Episcopal Community Services and St. Mark’s Cathedral outreach programs such as Sunday Night Supper, Monday Night Supper, and Covenant.
